Dexcom is the leading manufacturer of CGM Systems in the World right now. Following the success of the Dexcom G4 Platinum system they have recently launched the Dexcom G5. Dexcom systems consist of 3 major components, the sensor (worn on the body), a Transmitter (attached to the sensor) and a Receiver that receives constant blood glucose readings. The G5 system is unique as the transmitter can send the blood glucose readings directly to up to 5 smart devices, such as iphones and ipads.
The system also features alarm options for high and low blood glucose levels.
