Introducing Omnipod Dash – The New PDM For Omnipod
It seems we are a step closer to the launch of the new Omnipod PDM. The new system will be known as the Omnipod Dash platform. The new PDM is expected by the end of 2017.
WHAT’S DIFFERENT?
Firstly the new PDM looks far more up to date with a touch screen. In fact it looks just like a generic, android mobile phone. In fact I’ve read somewhere that it is a locked down mobile phone that can only be used for operating the Omnipod.
Both the handset and pods will have bluetooth capability.
However sad news for many is there will be no integrated blood glucose meter however there will be a blood glucose meter that can communicate with the handset.
It certainly seems from the video below that accessing historical data and trends will be much simpler with Omnipod Dash.
